Healthy Nutrition Counseling

In general, on issues related to nutrition; These are places where nutrition therapy consultancy and monitoring services are provided to the whole community, especially infants, young children, individuals with chronic diseases (such as diabetes, hypertension). The Nutrition Counseling Unit should preferably consist of two rooms. In a room; while the dietitian provides direct counseling, in the other room; It should be organized as a healthy nutrition kitchen and allocated as an application and training area. Although the consultancy service provided by dietitians in the Healthy Life Center depends on many factors such as diagnosis, health status, education level, it can be evaluated in two stages as the first interview and control. When approached in this way, it is expected that the first interview will last between 30-60 minutes and the control interviews between 10-30 minutes. It would be appropriate to plan the nutritional counseling service to be provided in SHMs in line with the "Patient Monitoring Guide for Dietitians" prepared by our Ministry. The following services are offered in nutrition counseling:

Nutrition programs are prepared for healthy individuals and patients, based on age, gender, and conditions requiring special diets (obesity, pregnant women with chronic diseases, children, adolescents, elderly people, etc.) by making use of clinical guidelines, and counseling, treatment (assessment by analysis) and monitoring and evaluation services are provided.

The weight status of the applicants is evaluated with anthropometric measurements (including healthy individuals).
Healthy nutrition education is given to individuals with chronic diseases who are guided by a family doctor/physician through individual counseling or group training methods.
Information, training and consultancy services are provided in order to provide the society with healthy eating behaviors.
In the service area of ​​the center, scanning and researches are carried out to determine the needs and problems of the citizens.
School health activities are supported.
Within the scope of primary health care services, an active role is taken in home health services and mobile health service provision when necessary.
